Cabins - Catcher In The Rye

open arms.

So, on Friday, Lucy, Stef, Brian (Stef's dad) and I ventured up to Coffs Harbour to camp and go to Open Arms music festival.
On Friday, we set up camp, and us three girls ventured down to the beach, which was right next to our camp site, so, about a two minute walk, and waded through rivers, to which Lucy shrieked and claimed she had sighted puffer fish in the bottom of a small creek.
The beach was nice, despite the odd, disgusting smell it had.

Then, on Saturday, Lucy, Stef and I went to Open Arms. We had fun! We made the day extremely good, despite the mud (and being crash tackled into the mud by random strangers). We moshed, and jumped, and screamed, and sang along, to bands such as Birds of Tokyo, Hungry Kids of Hungary, The Living End and all that jazz. Also, to a little band I didn't know, which I quite like now, called Cabins.
We saw some very unexpected friends, which was lovely, aswell.

After Open Arms, we shuffled our exhausted bodies back down to the beach, where we came across spooky fishermen and pitchblack water.
Sunday wasn't nearly as exciting, packed up, left.

Well, anyway, after my boring ramble about how my weekend was, here are some photos.

eleanor.

I spent my school holidays with my darling friend/"sister", Ellie Campbell. She and her mother, my mum's best friend, stayed at my house for the first week of the holidays, and then I ventured back to Sydney with them for the second week, where I spent my 16th birthday.
I took Ellie to her first gig, a Yada Yada in Port, where we saw Ciarn Gallagher, Chris Rose band, Declare! and The Josephine March play. All were really good.

heart of glass

I love Blondie, and Debbie Harry.
She is truly one of the most beautiful women, in my opinion.

Guess what I got?

So, it was my sixteenth birthday on friday, and guess what my sister got me? A TICKET TO THE BIG DAY OUT. Perfect! ♥

Big Day Out, and all that jazz.

So, I've just been reading over the lineup for the 2011 Big Day Out, and mon dieu, I want to go. Iggy and the Stooges? Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros ('Home' is so sweet and catchy)? Angus and Julia Stone? Yes please.
Sadly, I lack people to go with, (although I will try to convince my sister to take me), and I live a few hours away from Sydney, so transport is a matter. But, oh, it'd all be so worth it to go.
Speaking of, a friend and I want to go to the 'Wingham Akoostik Music Festival' (I have no idea why, but that spelling of acoustic just bugs me) in October, but yet again, getting there is an issue. Ugh, I hate being too young to have my license and own modes of transport.

Off to Sydney soon, for a few days. Hallelujah.

Well, I haven't posted on my blog in a while, as I have been mainly playing with my tumblr (www.breathingoutandin.tumblr.com), so here goes.
Spring is upon us (well, it has been for a few weeks now), and it's my birthday next friday. Sweet sixteen.

Nothing really interesting has, or is, happening in my life at the moment, as always. Hah. So here are just some photos that I like, or things that I want, or things that have inspired me.
