10.

It's only 10 days until I'm going to Melbourne for my first time ever. I can't tell you how excited I am. I just need to scrounge around for some cash so I can go shopping and spend heaps of money on new clothes. (I always need new clothes).
I might find a nice pair of Jeffrey Campbell's to buy? Yes? Yes? I think so.
This is what I'm feelin' this winter.

We need an education, lack imagination.

I haven't written in a while, don't really know why. I guess I was either too busy or too lazy to.

Well, within the month of January, I stayed at Seal Rocks for a week in a '50s style beach house, right on the beach with some family friends, for the fourth year in a row. Red leather couches, and everything lush.
Ellie (whom I went with) and I met some new faces, and rekindled our friendship with some old.
Monique, a girl we met last year at the exact same place, was there again this year, so it was nice knowing someone again, and being introduced to others.
Some people we met are Jordie (Monique's younger brother), Belle, Adam, Max, Jack, Nathan, Alex, Gabby, another Alex, Mary Ann. So many people.
We all had large beach bon fires late at night, and poker nights, where too much goon was consumed (especially by the boys), and drinking games were 'a' plenty.
Anyway, we were there for a week, and I got a ridiculous tan (it looks like I'm wearing a white bikini), which is the result of getting ridiculously burnt.

After Seal Rocks, I went straight to Sydney, where I stayed with my sister and her boyfriend, Adam.
We went to the Big Day Out on Australia Day, so the Wednesday, and fuck, it was great, but it was also so bloody hot.
I don't understand why all the other girls there lathered on the makeup, as they were all just going to sweat it off, or it itself was going to just melt and drip off. Hahah.
But we saw Iggy Pop, and Angus and Julia Stone, and Grinderman, and Rammstein (their show was amazing. I'm not even a fan of their music, but the show. Breath. Taking. The pyrotechnics!)
and Die Antwoord!
Die Antwoord were actually incredible. Their music, and them in general, is hilarious. So hilarious.
Iggy was amazing. But that was to be expected. He's God, is he not?

So, in Sydney I overall spent way too much money, and had lots of fun, and had a great time all round.
I then caught the train home, just in time for the last day of school holidays, and then started year 11.
It's a lot better. The teachers treat you with more respect, and they relate to you more.
Plus the year 7er's run away from you in fear. It's bizarre. I'm not even in year 12 yet.

If I had some photos, I'd post them, but I've only got some on my iPod. Hm.
Well, ciao. x

Cabins - Catcher In The Rye

open arms.

So, on Friday, Lucy, Stef, Brian (Stef's dad) and I ventured up to Coffs Harbour to camp and go to Open Arms music festival.
On Friday, we set up camp, and us three girls ventured down to the beach, which was right next to our camp site, so, about a two minute walk, and waded through rivers, to which Lucy shrieked and claimed she had sighted puffer fish in the bottom of a small creek.
The beach was nice, despite the odd, disgusting smell it had.

Then, on Saturday, Lucy, Stef and I went to Open Arms. We had fun! We made the day extremely good, despite the mud (and being crash tackled into the mud by random strangers). We moshed, and jumped, and screamed, and sang along, to bands such as Birds of Tokyo, Hungry Kids of Hungary, The Living End and all that jazz. Also, to a little band I didn't know, which I quite like now, called Cabins.
We saw some very unexpected friends, which was lovely, aswell.

After Open Arms, we shuffled our exhausted bodies back down to the beach, where we came across spooky fishermen and pitchblack water.
Sunday wasn't nearly as exciting, packed up, left.

Well, anyway, after my boring ramble about how my weekend was, here are some photos.

eleanor.

I spent my school holidays with my darling friend/"sister", Ellie Campbell. She and her mother, my mum's best friend, stayed at my house for the first week of the holidays, and then I ventured back to Sydney with them for the second week, where I spent my 16th birthday.
I took Ellie to her first gig, a Yada Yada in Port, where we saw Ciarn Gallagher, Chris Rose band, Declare! and The Josephine March play. All were really good.
